Neuro-Cognitive & Sensory Motor Coach: Get Paid to Help Kids Shine

Allen, Texas•Part-time
$15 - $17 hourly
About the Job
Brain Balance of Allen & Dallas| Part-Time | Afternoons & Evenings | $15–$17/hour
What if your job was to play, move, and cheer kids on as they finally click? That's a normal afternoon of our Coach at Brain Balance.
We help children who struggle with focus, attention, learning, and behavior, including kids with ADHD, autism, dyslexia, and processing challenges. Our program uses fun, targeted physical and cognitive activities to help their brains build stronger connections.
As a coach, you'll lead small groups of kids through an energetic activity circuit, keep them motivated, and track their progress along the way. You'll be part coach, part cheerleader, and part data detective, and you'll watch kids grow more confident week after week.

Why You'll Love It

  • No desk job here. You'll spend your shift moving, playing, and coaching, not staring at a screen.
  • Big wins, every week. The first time a child balances, focuses, or high-fives you after nailing an exercise, you'll be hooked.
  • Perfect for students and career-builders. Afternoon and evening hours fit around classes, and the hands-on experience is gold for anyone heading into OT, PT, kinesiology, education, or healthcare.
  • A team that has your back. You'll work alongside a supportive crew that celebrates every child's progress, and yours too.

What You'll Do

  • Run the circuit. Lead groups of 1–4 kids through our specialized sensory, motor, and cognitive activity circuit in 30-minute sessions.
  • Keep the energy high. Motivate every child to give their best effort, and use positive behavior management techniques to keep sessions on track.
  • Track the wins. Record each child's performance in every activity using an iPad and our program tools.
  • Personalize the plan. Help design individual lesson plans and set goals for each student.
  • Assess progress. Help assess new students and those finishing the program.
  • Make families feel welcome. Bring a friendly, customer-first attitude to every interaction with kids and parents.

What You Bring

You're a great fit if you are:
  • Outgoing, confident, and full of positive energy
  • Patient and kind with kids who face challenges
  • Creative and quick to turn an exercise into a game
  • Organized, able to multitask, and willing to take initiative
  • A team player with a customer-service mindset
  • Comfortable using a computer and iPad
Bonus points (not required):
  • 2+ years of experience working with school-aged children
  • Experience leading physical activities with kids, like coaching, PE, camps, or sports
  • Study or training in occupational therapy, physical therapy, kinesiology, exercise science or physiology, early childhood development, education, or healthcare
  • A valid driver's license
